Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) is an advance fund—typically 20% to 30% of the total charter price—used by the captain to cover variable operational expenses such as fuel, food/beverage stock, foreign port fees, and extra water toy rentals. At the end of the journey, the captain provides a itemized breakdown, and any unused balance is fully refunded to you.
